At the event hosted by the Male Cancer Awareness Campaign, an outstanding achievement award was given to Dr Seamus McAleer, consultant oncologist at Belfast City Hospital, on 22 May to acknowledge the 'zero deaths' from testicular cancer in Northern Ireland in 1998, 2005 and 2007. Dr Craig Nichols, a world-leading testicular cancer specialist who helped treat Lance Armstrong, presented the award via video link from his home town of Portland, USA. Also attending was testicular cancer survivor Andrew Neill who was diagnosed at age 19. Andrew is now five years in recovery and is expecting his second child in December! Congratulations Andrew, what awesome news! Both Andrew and Dr McAleer are available for interviews, please contact events@malecancer.org
